1. Vata
Vata is a combination of air and ether (space): which characterizes your constitution by: lightness, coldness, dryness, roughness, subtleness, dispersiveness, inconsistentness, astringent.
On a personal level, these tendencies give; creativity, enthusiasm, freedom, generosity, joy and vitality.
On the organic level: Vata is linked to motor function, heartbeat, stimulation of gastric juices.
2. Pitta
Pitta is made up of fire and water which gives: lightness, heat, oiliness, sharpness, liquidity, sourness and pungency.
On a personal level, these tendencies give; ambition, concentration, confidence, courage, thirst for knowledge, happiness, intelligence
On an organic level, Pitta is linked to digestion, assimilation of food, maintenance of body temperature, brightness of the eyes and skin
3. Kapha
Pitta is the combination of water and earth, which means: heavy, cold, oily, slow, viscous, dense, soft, static, sweet.
On the personal level, these tendencies give; attention, concentration, compassion, faith, accomplishment, patience, stability, tenderness.
On an organic level, Kapha is related to softness, body, heat distribution, strength, and endurance, sleep, and longevity.
