The yoga strap, an ally in your practice
The yoga strap is often made of thick woven cotton and is approximately 2.50m long and 40mm wide. It usually has a sliding metal buckle or D-ring.
What is the yoga strap used for?
The yoga strap helps you perform your asanas safely and in perfect alignment. This yoga accessory is seen as an extension of your body if you are not flexible enough to grab your hands or feet and allows you to hold your positions comfortably for a long time.
More practical to carry than a bolster or a brick, the yoga strap is, in addition, a yoga object with several functions:
- It can be used during warm-ups and/or stretching to lengthen your body without hurting yourself,
- You can also use it if flexibility is not there in certain asanas,
- It is useful for correcting poses, as it will help you have perfect alignment.

How to take care of your yoga strap?
The yoga strap is very easy to maintain. Machine wash at 40°C and you're done. However, check the manufacturer's advice carefully before washing.
