Focus on the creator of the MeroMero brand: Hélène Allera-Marie
We are pleased to introduce you to the founder of the lovely brand: MeroMero who is joining our site.
So we asked her about her wonderful entrepreneurial adventure and asked her for some advice on her yoga practice, which I'm sharing with you today.
Who is behind this responsible French brand?
Hélène , 36 years old, two children, a company. A life at 200 at a time where moments of resources and full awareness are essential to keep up the pace.
How did you come up with the idea for MeroMero?
Climbing four floors every day without an elevator with baby, groceries and bags... So I had the idea of creating a modular diaper bag that would allow me to also carry my child! And from there began the whole concept of MeroMero: to create ingenious, design and durable products that adapt to our active lives: with or without children! The proof: you can even carry your yoga mat with it...
How did you get to take care of yourself?
It wasn't always easy. I was more of the type to never think about myself. But today, I realize that I don't really have a choice anymore if I want to hold on and feel good in my professional and personal life.
What practice for your well-being?
With the kids and work, I put aside the "extreme" sports that excited me when I was younger: skiing, mountain biking, etc. I then discovered yoga and then meditation. But now, I feel like it's not enough and I swore to myself, with my friends, to take up freeride and downhill mountain biking again! However, I now need both. It's a very good balance.
What is the ritual of your practice?
When I manage, I try to get up 15 minutes earlier, either to do a bit of yoga or to meditate. And on the weekend, I try to free up a day to do "my sport" because during the week, it's mission impossible, except for a jog once a week.
What do you get out of it?
Depending on the practice: an alternation of adrenaline and calm, of surpassing oneself and refocusing. The feeling of being present, alive.
What do you carry in your yoga bag?
I don't have a yoga bag, but a multifunctional backpack ;-) that I take everywhere. So I never have the same thing in it, it evolves all the time!
What is your favorite object/accessory?
None and fortunately. I will be able to lose it.
What would be your advice for Tayrona Yoginis?
That we must stop thinking that we don't have time. We must take it and practice what makes us feel good, even if it's 2 minutes!
What is your mantra/favourite phrase?
Before, it was "become what you are" by Nietzsche. But since I became a mother and entrepreneur, it's more like "when nothing goes right, go left"
