My name is Gwendoline, and I live in Vendée. After studying design, I wanted to reconnect with the path of yoga that I had discovered at the age of 15 when I was a high-level swimmer. I created BOM YOGA and NUTRITION in 2016 and after several training courses in France and abroad, I teach through various courses and stays. Passionate about sport and well-being and in love with a surfer, I find my essence in dynamic yoga (ashtanga-vonyasa, flow) while complementing the practice and my teaching with yin yoga and nidra.

What is a “sacred space” for you?

A sacred space is for me an area dedicated to my practice. I had at heart and the possibility of setting up a small room at home where I let my creativity flow on the mat and my other passions: painting, reading. It is a bit like my sanctuary and a space of my own... sometimes shared by my two big cats, one of whom never leaves my Manduka mat!

How do you set up your “sacred space” or the place where you practice yoga?

My space is equipped with numerous shelves where I leave my bowls, various instruments, equipment and books within arm's reach. My mat reigns supreme in this space.

What items are essential for you in this space?

Different objects that tell a story: my rug that is soaked in sweat (glamour) and emotions, shells and corals, a piece of palosanto or an essential oil diffuser because the scent calls memories. My bolster is also essential to my daily life because as a young mother, I like to recharge my batteries in nidra and restorative yoga.

What is your daily “well-being” or yoga routine?

I have a routine that resembles a day: tonic in the morning (body brushing), lukewarm or cold shower, dynamic practice.

In the evening, I like to massage my face and slump down on my bolster for some informal postures.
