Trained and certified in abdominals differently and pre and postnatal yoga at the Dr. de Gasquet Institute , Camille Bellard specializes in the female body from a health and well-being perspective. She supports women who want to be more in tune with their body while respecting it. Also an equine coach, she allows everyone to reconnect with the language of emotions, accompanied by her horse. This global approach to the human being promoting the union of the body and emotions allows her to help women reconnect with their authentic being.

It was only natural that I asked him a few personal questions about his yoga practice, which I am sharing with you today.

How did you get into taking care of yourself?

The reconnection to my body took place at the birth of my first child. As if I was discovering an interiority that was both intimately known to me and totally unknown to me. My body suddenly revealed itself as a treasure trove of subtle connections, far from the simple training machine that I had conceptualized!

What practice for your well-being?

As soon as my mind races, when it crystallizes all my energy, I feel the need to move and reconnect with nature. Since I have a very talkative mind and totally exhausting by its omnipresence, I give supremacy back to my body by punctuating my daily life with numerous "recharging breaks".

Food, also linked to my eco-responsible values, is part of my well-being, both physical and mental.

What is the ritual of your practice?

I punctuate my days as soon as possible with walks or runs in nature, yoga postures, intuitive dances, alone or accompanied by my children. The connection to horses and trees is for me a powerful way to return to my source of energy. I seek as soon as possible to restore consciousness to my body in order to connect to its intelligence.

What do you get out of it?

Like any hypersensitive person, my senses are constantly alert. If this ability brings me an immense richness of life, I frequently feel a great need to reconnect with myself through moments in the great outdoors. Sometimes, I feel stuck in a problem and after going for a run, making my body speak in a yoga sequence or having "danced" with my horse, I have the feeling that the solutions replace the problems!

What do you carry in your yoga bag?

Water, some dried fruit and a small notebook because ideas are surprising and always come at impromptu moments!

What is your favorite object/accessory?

I don't really have a favorite object. On the other hand, I always carry a scarf with me but never the same one... and I like a book to accompany me even if I rarely take the time to open it when I'm out and about!

What would be your advice for Tayrona Yoginis?

To the Tayrona Yoginis I would like to tell them to listen to their body as soon as possible in order to be attentive to the messages it constantly delivers to us. Then I wish them to be sensitive when it vibrates joy because this sensation is like little fireflies that light up our personal path!

Where/how do you practice?

I practice anywhere and anytime! As soon as my body demands it!

What is your mantra/favourite phrase?

“They didn't know it was impossible so they did it!”

by Mark Twain!
