1st Chakra: Root Chakra or Muladhara – Red color
What are chakras?
The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit "wheel", they are regulators of subtle energy represented by lotus flowers. Hindus count 7 of them. They are distributed from the coccyx to the top of the head. They function like valves and distribute the universal vital energy in the body. If there is a blockage or a disorder, occurring when the energy is excessive or deficient, this affects a part of the network and has repercussions everywhere else. It is therefore necessary to rebalance this point so that the prana circulates correctly. The rise of energy borrowing the chakras is called "ascension of the Kundalini"
What is the ROOT CHAKRA?
The root chakra is the 1st chakra, symbolized by the color red , resting at the base of the spine at the coccyx. It comes from the Sanskrit "M uladhara" , Mula for root and Dhara for support. Naturally associated with the earth element and its message is "I exist". Linked to survival, security and wisdom, it is our connection with the earth, true rooting as its name suggests. Nowadays, this feeling of security is generally emotional and financial. It has an influence on the feet, knees, rectum and the adrenaline secreted by our body.
People, whose root chakra is properly opened and harmonized , are very connected to the physical body and the earth, they trust the people around them. Their bodies are in great shape, connected to their mind, they feel in control of themselves. Ideal for entrepreneurship or to take initiatives thanks to its physical and emotional stability.
On the other hand, having a root chakra that is not very open, or even blocked , causes imbalance, insensitivity, instability, fear and lack of self-confidence. Easily distracted and discouraged, you are prey to nightmares and physical discomfort. The latter can cause back and digestive problems, loss of smell and sexual desire, or even tumors.
Conversely, an overly open 1st chakra makes you emotionally unstable. On edge, selfish and angry, people with an overactive root chakra are often greedy and chase after material goods. Combined with excess, these people abuse coffee, food, drugs, alcohol, tobacco or sex to the point of causing health problems.
It is therefore necessary to balance the root chakra . Yoga, meditation and physical exercises help to balance this chakra. Lithotherapy and its stones are also an excellent way to harmonize this 1st chakra.

How to balance your chakras?
We offer to help you by setting up a material support "altar" - "your sacred space" which will help you concentrate in order to celebrate a rite or carry out your meditation for the chakra on which you decide to act or to use the crystals corresponding to the chakra concerned. The crystals act as oscillators, they resonate with the natural healing frequency on which psychic energy emits. Lie down and meditate to put yourself in resonance with the chakra. Place the stone on the chakra and meditate again to allow the crystalline vibrations to re-energize it. Do not forget to purify your stone, either by exposing it to the sun or by burning white sage. The sage is intended to purify the room, your stone, but also with its smoke to soothe the mind.
