Sophie-Claire, is a qualified physiotherapist and sophrologist, psychopractitioner, Sophie-Claire has the deep conviction that physical well-being and mental well-being are inseparable. For 25 years, she has therefore focused on finding gentle and respectful methods so that everyone, whatever their situation, can participate in yoga sessions that are beneficial to both body and mind.

It was only natural that I asked him a few personal questions about his yoga practice, which I am sharing with you today .

How did you get into taking care of yourself?

Physiotherapist, I discovered prenatal yoga 25 years ago with Bernadette de Gasquet. After several courses with her, I started a yoga practice for myself and it was a long journey of reconciliation between my head and my body.

What practice for your well-being?

I practice different techniques depending on my mood and my body's needs.

Iyengar Yoga on some days, Feldenkrais Methods on other days or even long mindfulness meditations…

What is the ritual of your practice?

Oddly enough, I don't have a ritual. I had a hard time accepting it, but that's just the way I am! On the other hand, yoga and body practices are part of my life. There's not a day when I don't sit on my mat...

What do you get out of it?

An encounter with myself and as I have been teaching for many years, a real encounter with the other. And suddenly, a path towards authenticity and sincerity.

What do you carry in your Yoga bag?

My mat ! I admit that the more I practice, the more I appreciate a quality mat that is very non-slip and a little thick.

What is your favorite object/accessory?

My two singing bowls. I took my time to find them. They came to me. The first one was in Rome in a small Indian item shop. A child was making it vibrate… I knew it was him!

What would be your advice for Tayrona Yoginis?

To  respect! Yoga is a path. Gently recognizing what our body can accept.

Where/how do you practice?

I practice wherever I am and primarily outside. I have a wonderful memory of practicing with two friends on January 2nd on a wooden terrace facing the mountains. We were all wrapped up! What a joy!

I like to continue tirelessly training myself. I am  internships with colleagues or friends during each vacation.

What is your mantra?

“Love yourself better to love better.”
