My name is Florence, I am a kinesiologist and certified yoga teacher. I was introduced to the practice and philosophy of yoga at the age of 16.
2. How did you get to take care of yourself?
A few yoga postures were enough for me to realize their beneficial effect on my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body. Very quickly we find a balance on an emotional level, the relationship with food becomes healthier, self-sabotage stops, the relationship with others is more loving and natural, etc.
3. What practice for your well-being?
Hatha Yoga or Vinyasa.
4. What is the ritual of your practice?
I try to always practice on an empty stomach. I start with a few sun salutations to gently warm up my body, followed by a few asanas like Warriors, Sirsasana, Candle or Happy Baby. I end the session with savasana followed by a pranayama and meditation.
5. What do you get out of it?
A beautiful balance, joy and sincere and deep well-being.
6. What do you carry in your yoga bag?
A strap, a small speaker, a water bottle.
7. What is your favorite object/accessory?
- My carpet
8. What would be your advice for Tayrona Yoginis?
The days we absolutely don't want to practice are the days we need it most.
9. Where do you practice?
I practice in my kinesiology office, in which I have created a sacred space for myself: A space just for my yoga practice.
10. What is your mantra/favourite phrase?
"It's not about doing extraordinary postures, but about experiencing the extraordinary in each posture." A. Herkens
Namaste 🙏🏻
