Sun Salutation A – Surya Namaskar A

The sun salutation is a cycle of postures that we repeat several times, trying to go a little further each time. This dynamic sequence is particularly recommended at the beginning of the day and/or as a warm-up for the entire body. Discover its benefits in the video!

Come stand at the front of your yoga mat, we are going to practice this sequence of postures together:

Inhale exhale in Mountain pose or Tadasana

Inhale into Hasta Uttanasana posture

Exhale in Uttanasana or head to knees pose

Inhale into Ardha Uttanasana, right leg first then left leg to the back of the mat

Exhale and come into plank or Phalakasana hold your breath

Exhale Chaturanga Dandasana

Inhale Upward Facing Dog or Urdhva Mukha Svanasana

Exhale Downward Facing Dog or Adho Mukha Svanasana, take one or more breaths here, come back to bring your feet between your hands at the front of the mat (walk or jump)

Inhale into Ardha Uttanasana posture

Exhale in Uttanasana or head to knees pose

Inhale into Hasta Uttanasana posture

Exhale and return to Tadasana posture (with hands at the heart in prayer)

Do your second cycle by first bringing your left leg back and then your right into plank posture.

Especially if you enjoy this practice, continue as many times as you want. It will do you a world of good!

Remember to BREATHE well in each posture.

Looking forward to seeing you next week!
