Portrait of a rock and energetic Yogini: Amanda de Ana Heart
Let me introduce you to Amanda Ibgui. She is the creator of the yoga clothing brand Ana Heart.
With Rachel, her yoga teacher and mentor from Michigan, Amanda shares a vision of the ideal woman: powerful, feminine, seductive, dynamic, rocking, and with positive energy that has given life to a collection of Urban Peace yoga basics, full of charm and style: Ana Heart.
Amanda has lived in London for many years. She is originally from France. An interior designer for 12 years, no trend escapes her. Amanda is addicted to the urban lifestyle that she integrates as much into her work as an architect as into her clothing style, and her "effortlessly chic" Parisian look. She is a person who loves her job, does not count her hours and is passionate about everything she does. Amanda has found an extraordinary point of balance in yoga.
Their respective lifestyles, with many points in common, remain nevertheless very different: Amanda the urban, Rachel the serene. It is very naturally that the desire comes to them to mix their wardrobes to make the DNA of the Brand spring forth: Urban Peace.
And we are pleased to announce the arrival of the Ana Heart clothing collection on our site on February 20th.
It was only natural that I asked him a few personal questions about his yoga practice, which I am sharing with you today.
How did you get to take care of yourself?
It was my meeting with Rachel, my yoga teacher, who became my partner in the Ana Heart adventure, that changed the way I took care of myself when we met 11 years ago.
She taught me to listen to my body, to take a step back, and to push my limits physically and mentally.
What practice for your well-being?
Eat light, drink lots of water and my Vinyasa flow session.
What is the ritual of your practice?
Not eating anything before my morning class, clearing my head, this hour and a half is for me, no one can come and disturb this moment with myself, this is what I call "yoging".
What do you get out of it?
I feel full of energy and totally detoxified.
What do you carry in your yoga bag?
Usually water and my post yoga class juice.
What is your favorite object/accessory?
I wear several bracelets on each of my wrists that I never take off, each one has a special meaning, they are my tattoos.
What would be your advice for Tayrona Yoginis?
Love yourself.
Where/how do you practice?
I practice at home with a great teacher called Celest Pereira (@celestpereirayoga) who is one of our ambassadors in London, and also a lot with Rachel (@anaheartayoga) in Miami.
What is your mantra/favourite phrase?
Let love be the answer no matter the question #anaheartmantra
