Portrait of a yogini yoga teacher: Anne Beck Djevaguiroff
Like many yogis, Anne Beck Djevaguiroff has had several experiences with yoga.
First as a child, because her mother practiced yoga when she was little. She often took advantage of these moments in her presence by having fun with balancing postures. Then she stopped for several years... After studying law, she started her professional life in the real estate field as a condominium manager. With this stressful job during which she is confronted with a lot of aggression, she tried to find activities that freed her from tension. After several years of practicing running and fitness, she realized that her mind and body were always in "competition" mode. Quite naturally, she remembered her childhood years where only joy mattered: the happiness of moving, of breathing, of being a whole... So she bought a yoga mat and there... it was a revelation!
After several years of practice, she decided to do a yoga teacher training with Katy Misson, whom she had the chance to meet during a workshop in Paris. Annecy being a region that she loves, it seemed obvious to her! She also completed her experience by doing a training in kinesiology (a practice designed to promote physical, mental and social balance).
Now a graduate in SATIAM YOGA, she has started giving private lessons in the Paris region and does not intend to stop there!...
It was only natural that I asked him a few personal questions about his yoga practice, which I am sharing with you today.
How did you come to take care of yourself?
To reconnect with my body and mind, to combat ambient stress.
What practice for your well-being?
A cup of hot lemon water when you wake up to detoxify the body and a course of revivable brewer's yeast to maintain healthy intestinal flora!
What is the ritual of your practice?
I roll out my yoga mat every morning, chant a few montras, meditate and do a few postures.
What do you carry in your yoga bag?
My Manduka travel mat purchased on the Tayrona website and my favorite mala.
What would be your advice for Tayrona yoginis?
To reconnect with the essence of all things to follow one's heart. Regular practice according to the needs of one's body at the present moment allows one to achieve this.
Where / How do you practice?
I practice at home every morning and in nature whenever I can to feel even more connected.
What is your mantra/favourite phrase?
Don’t hesitate to find Anne on her Instagram and Facebook networks.
