It was only natural that I asked him a few personal questions about his yoga practice, which I am sharing with you today.

How did you get into taking care of yourself?

I grew up in a village in the Mont Blanc region, the outdoors, the mountains, the forest have always been there.

Father instructor, we were on skis before we could walk! When I came to study in Annecy I had 2 jobs in addition to my classes and I had to put sports, dance, cross-country skiing on hold...

When I started my first job, sitting on a chair 8 hours a day, I quickly understood that I would have to take care of myself differently. So we found a gym nearby, where we spent our lunch breaks with colleagues. One day Sabrina, a yoga teacher, approached my elliptical bike and offered me to discover her Hatha Yoga class :) I said yes and I loved breathing again, consciously and reconnecting with myself.

What practice for your well-being?

Vyniasa/Hatha, Yin, lots of Liquid Flow by Simon Park, meditation and mantras.

What is the ritual of your practice?

I put on a playlist, roll out my mat, light a candle, burn some palo santo, recite a few mantras and sometimes I sing too.

What do you get out of it?

A direct path to my inner peace. A way to refocus, to calm the intense movement of life. It brings power, strength, courage and tenacity. We always go a little further the next time, the next breath, little by little while respecting the rhythm. It helps me to better understand or at least to become aware of the evolution, the concentration, the journey necessary to achieve one's goals.

What do you carry in your yoga bag?

My mat, a strap, a bottle of water and something to listen to music :)

What is your favorite object/accessory?

My amethyst and my scarab pendant which sits on my chin during inversions!

What would be your advice for Tayrona Yoginis?

Accept to pause the mind from time to time, listen to your body, your intuitions and move forward doing your best. The best advice I was given is to have discipline and practice regularly, even if it is little. At the speed at which life goes today, we often forget that certain things take time. By repeating the practice we give ourselves a chance every day to do better and get closer to our truth.

Where / How do you practice?

I practice every day in the form of flow, at home or by the lake, in the morning and in the evening. I get on my mat for between 30 minutes and 2 hours depending on my needs, my shape, the weather... Music holds a very important place in my life as in my practice.

Besides that, I also like to regularly take studio classes or participate in workshops for adjustments and learning new ways to achieve certain postures.

What is your mantra/favourite phrase?

Act don't react
