We have launched an appeal to wellness professionals to introduce them to you and help them in these complicated times. Today, we are talking about Leda Maçoro, an artist and graphic designer who offers mandala workshops with the collective Les Amazones Parisiennes.
It was only natural that I asked him a few personal questions about his yoga routine that I am sharing with you today .
Passionate about nature, Leda Maçoro, a cosmopolitan artist and graphic designer, created Essencia Design in 2018. After her Yoga training in India, she focuses her creations on the Essence of Art and Yoga. In her series of Artistic Yoga Postures, she transmits the energy, gentleness and feminine sensuality combined with this ancestral practice now transformed into a work of art. An artistic director specializing in the field of well-being, she now works in partnership with Les Amazones Parisiennes, Yoga studios and schools, Spa Hotels and various therapists.
My yoga and meditation space is in my living room, where I can be surrounded by my plants with beautiful daylight. My windows overlook the sky and that's where the journey begins for me.
I am surrounded by art :) my creations are all around me. Drawings of Yoga postures, energy drawings and Mandalas. A candle and my Palo Santo are obviously next to sanctify the moment and help me anchor myself in my space. I also have my GAIA oracle drawing cards which close my meditation sessions.
I do yoga and stretching every other day when I wake up. I prefer Yin Yoga for days when I have less energy. Vinyasa is more for days when I am looking for muscle awakening and dynamism. You have to listen to your body and a practice that wants us well is never really linear and repetitive. I let my body decide the duration of the Yoga and meditation sessions! Following the Flow is the simplest thing :)
I use essential oils to scent my Yoga mat. I use a very colorful yoga mat in these winter times to find joy and a yoga cushion (or bolster) for my YIN Yoga sessions. I have my meditation playlist and another one for yoga. Music amplifies the experience of movement.
I organize online mandala workshops with the collective les Amazones Parisiennes. I host 4 workshops per month, on zoom, to help everyone unleash their creativity. Link to register: https://www.lesamazonesparisiennes.com/yoga-paris/
